Blood Stereo

From Brighton, Dylan Nyoukis and Karen Constance's group of sick noise perversity make a rare trip to Leeds. Dylan has been bringing his own personal brand of "ear hate" for years solo,
and with the group Decaer Pinga/Prick Decay. Karen is also a member of the all female noise group Polly Shang Kuan Band. By the time of the show the pair of them will have returned from another jaunt in the US, which includes a spot at Carlos Giffoni's No fun fest! Don't miss out.

Ashtray Navigations

Phil Todd's group of euphoric psych drone. In his own words: "Ashtray Navigations have been recording artistes for siltbreeze, celebrate psi phenomenon, american tapes, betley welcomes careful drivers, me nlo park, gameboy, jewelled antler, staalplaat and countless others. Ashtray Navigations will not be stopping at any time soon. Goodnight fuck you. Hope you sleep easy."

Rameses III

Warm drone, from London, gracing Leeds for the very first time. Eclipse says: "The UK's Rameses III hail from a place where subtle drifts are priceless. These insular drones are highlighted by rich acoustic depths, adding so much contrast that it's heartbreaking. Recordings of birds add a natural grace, and in the context, this trio is freed. Within these digital walls rises something majestic, extracted from the soil."

Mates of State + Cowtown

Mates of State (Polyvinyl Records) are truly amazing. Whatever you see this year, it's gonna have to be pretty life-changing to beat this band. Kori Gardner (keyboards/voice) and Jason Hammell (drums/voice) play THE perfect pop music you've ever heard!: over-driven, super-loud organ lines combine with super-melodic drumming and breathtakingly gymnastic vocal harmonies, to create music that is jaw-droppingly life-affirming, utterly catchy and totally unique!!!! Come, watch, admire, cry, smile and get totally hooked.

Cowtown will do their Deerhoof-inspired rock-pop for you (hey!), along with a little robot dancing and maybe some stop-start movements of arm and leg. Unbeatable.

Chris Graham is the newly appointed My dads strip club bastard secretary, apprentice and deputy in crime. Chris is influenced by a classic working class northern education and upbringing of coal, baked beans, chips, drugs and crime. Recently he has been moulding his shit into coke bottles for a piece called 'coca colon'.

Or...Chris Graham is an illustrator & fine artist based in Bolsover. His work is informed by experiences of living on the edge of the welfare state. Through drawing and performance he eloquently captures the connections between consumerism, poverty and the war on terror." www.cgraham.net

Herman Dune

Swedish-born Paris-based Herman Dune view the world with a delicate cynicism. The haunting yet beautiful, low-budget backing to their anti-folk stream of consciousness is joyfully hypnotic, tugging at heart-strings with all the whimsy they can muster. (Timeout magazine),

Diane Cluck's music reverberates with the same unearthly sensual ache of mid-period Tim Buckley. Described as lo-fi minimalist soul music, live her voice is accompanied either by sole acoustic guitar or accordion or piano, occasionally augmented by spooked vocal harmonies like the paeans of haunted angels.

High Plane Drifters provide a musical onslaught of bastardised psychedelic garage blues

The Damo Suzuki Network

lead vocalist from Can playing with Improvisational & Spontanious Network Musicians.

Damo Suzuki's Network is an assembly of musicians. It's a collective meeting place where like minded people go The goal is simple, for musicians to communicate with each other and with the audience. There are no ego's involved. Musicians send smoke signals to each other. They respond in kind. Damo selects musicians who have the potential to communicate freely and who are able to respond honestly to each other in the here and now. This also involves a respect for and dynamic communication with the audience. Both Damo and Can refer to this process as Instant Composing. Each concert is a unique event. There are never any rehearsals. Mistakes are moments of opportunity. For the musician, this process is in equal parts exciting and terrifying
